What do Nurse Practitioners do?

Nurse Practitioners provide all services you can expect to receive at a traditional family clinic, and more. Some of the services include the following: assessments, diagnosis, dispense, sell and compound medications, set and cast fractures & dislocated joints, order & interpret all lab tests, order diagnostic imaging tests, consult and refer directly to specialists, prescribe medications.

How much does it cost for a one time appointment?
A.

We charge $50 per visit. Appointments can be booked directly through the app or portal.

Once registered through either our mobile app or our patient web portal, you can:
1) Book Appointments
2) Chat with a live admin if you have any questions
3) Real time access to your health records including: Encounter Notes, Lab Requisitions and Results, Diagnostics, Immunizations, and pretty much everything else we have, you have.

Why is the service paid?

We’re a private clinic and our services are not covered by OHIP.

Why isn’t it covered by OHIP?
A.

Care& Family Health is powered by Nurse Practitioners and Nurse practitioners can’t bill back OHIP.

Why do you need my OHIP info?
A.

We need your OHIP info in case we need to order third party services such as diagnostics and other tests.

Do I need a credit card to sign up for the Pay-per-Use plan?
A.

No you do not! Create your account for free to access the app. You will however need a credit card when you are ready to book an appointment.

Why do I have to register online?
A.

Care& Family Health is a paperless clinic. You can register online or through our Android or iOS apps, and we will use your profile to communicate with you securely. You will also have access to all of our services, as well as your healthcare records, such as prescriptions, referrals and diagnostic requisitions.

What is the All Access plan?
A.

It's the ultimate access to care. Extended clinic hours with the ability to schedule appointments, Unlimited Video Calls (Telemedicine), and Unlimited Home Visits (House calls).

Does Care& Family Health test for COVID-19?
A.

Yes! At Care& we offer a safe and comfortable environment for COVID-19 testing at your convenience, protect those you care about and get tested today. Result turnaround time cannot be guaranteed, but is usually available in 3-4 business days.
